Optimalization of Induction Furnace Operation in foundry Vsetín
Trachta, Jiří ; Nowak, Stanislav (referee) ; Lázničková, Ilona (advisor)
The aim of this work is optimalisation of induction furnace in foundry for company PROMET FOUNDRY a.s. The company has two induction furnances. There are installed as identical construction. They have 2 modes of operation. First mode is founding and second mode is mode, where is temperature in maintain mode. Only one induction furnance can work in the founding mode at a time though. Inducion furnances are in the single-phase connection and they cause unbalance in the distribution network. Near the foundry there is a small network area whitch it is operated by company Zásobování teplem Vsetín a.s. The consumption of electrical energy in foundry so big, that in the year 2009 was made elaborate for Zásobování teplem Vsetín a.s. It was write at Laboratoře diagnostiky výkonů (Laboratory of performance diagnostics), which is a part of Electrotechnic Department at Technical Univarsity of Ostrava. The ordered study was named “Verification of causes of increased reactive energy consumption during transition from electricity delivery to electricity consumption”. The conclusion of this assignment confirms that in distribution network in the Jiráskova area in Vsetín there is unbalance of electrical energy and there is high part of reactive power. The next conclusion is crucial to find the customer who made the unbalance and to set relevant remedy. The last step will be the identification whether such device can actually be effectively balanced. It was subsequently proved that the Promet Foundry was causing the unbalance and that balanced consumption would be reasonable. Promet Foundry thus addressed Autel a.s. company with an inquiry to make a study of removing the causes of the unbalance which is caused by current induction furnaces operation at a minimum possible cost, least possible influence on the performance and minimum construction changes concerning the building. In this thesis there will be some topics. The result of which will be introducing of used heating technology, introducing of company and of effective plant performance and subsequent suggestions of possible unbalance removal or reactive power decrease. Several ways which are being implemented in the industry in order to balance consumption will be described. A suitable balancing plant will be subsequently chosen and its parameters will be calculated.
Load flow analyses of reactive power in distribution system
Krátký, Michal ; Kašpírek,, Martn (referee) ; Topolánek, David (advisor)
This thesis is focused on issues with transmission of reactive power though the distribution line of E.ON area. The goal is to find out where and in what rate are overflows of reactive power and to project the correctional steps to minimize this overflow. In this solution, there were used data of dispatcher measurement, which were processed by created source code in Matlab. The processing was analyzed for final conclusion. There were discovered shortages in overflow of reactive power in transfer between distribution and transmission line and in unsuitably regulated capacity power factor in Planá power plant and wrong automatic regulation of turns in 440/110kV substation Dasný. The action to minimize overflows of reactive power was projected by decompensation reactor placed in T101 and T102 transformers in substation Tábor.

In the conclusing part, the possible measures for improvement of the company´s motivational system are proposed. These measures should lead to an increased motivation and productivity.
Compensation of loudspeaker measurements using standard baffle
Štěpáník, Jiří ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Balík, Miroslav (advisor)
The frequency response of the loudspeaker is one of the key data that needs to be known, for example, when designing a speaker cabinet or speaker system. The frequency response should be achieved with the highest possible accuracy and with a minimum of distortion. How to achieve such characteristics is described in the standard ČSN EN 60268-5, which states as one of the ways the use of standard enclosures. Except for the standard baffle, these baffles have correction curves for the measured characteristics described in the standard. However, this does not mean that the standard baffle does not distort the measurement. The aim of this work is to analyze the distortion of measurements caused by this baffle and other elements and their compensation. The work contains a description of certain parts of the standard ČSN EN 60268-5 with focus on the standard baffle. Especially on its construction and methods of measuring the speakers mounted on it. Several test measurements were performed within the work. These measurements were performed in a anechoic chamber with speakers mounted on a modular standard baffle, which is a modification of the standard baffle which is also described in the work. The measurements performed include the measurement of frequency characteristics at different distances of the microphone from the speaker at different positions of the baffle in the anechoic chamber. The test measurements show that the modular standard baffle and anechoic chamber cause measurement distortion. In other measurements, the distortion by the anechoic chamber is minimized and the distortion caused by the base of the modular standard baffle is completely eliminated. The thesis then presents the theory of sound diffraction at the edges of a standard baffle and the theory of the extended Biot-Tolstoy-Medwin method of modeling these diffractions using numerical calculations. Based on this theory, software compensation of diffraction distortion was performed in Matlab. It is not entirely clear from the results of the compensation to what extent it can be considered successful. It can be speculated that it only works on certain frequencies. It is necessary to verify the functionality of this compensation method by another test measurement.

Energetic problems of induction electroheat equipments
Milka, Jiří ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Lázničková, Ilona (advisor)
Induction heating is mostly used for melting metal materials in metallurgy. The principle of induction heating comes from electromagnetic induction which generates eddy currents heating the charge in electrically conducting material. The first part of the bachelor thesis is devoted to the principle of induction heating. Further, there are possibilities of applying the induction heating in electro heat devices mentioned. As the paper is focused on energy problems appearing when getting connected to the grid, the second part of the paper contains explanation – both theoretical and on examples - of compensation and symmetrization of induction electro heat devices.
Machine Tool Spindle Units: Active Tool Deflection Compensation
Zarboch, Jaromír ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Březina, Tomáš (advisor)
Cutting forces during milling process cause tool deflection. There are several methods for compensation of this deflection. This paper is focused on the active method of tool deflection compensation which angles adaptronic spindle by piezoactuators to compensate the tool deflection. For this method the simulation model was built in programe Matlab / Simulink. The effectiveness of this model was validated by search simulations.
